This is the Vest to Nils-Iva or Ivar Hansen Øygard that was his name. Anders Sandvig used Nils-Iva and his horse "White" on many of his travels in Gudbrandsdalen. SS-02513

This is a cushion from Gudbrandsdalen. The motif is animal like figures and trees in an oriental style - Roman influence. Maihaugen have large numbers of cushion from the 1600 and 1700s. The motives are geometric patterns, figure motives or motive of plants and animals. Tapestry like this came to Norway at the end of 1500. The tecnique and model is originated from Flandern.

This bridal suit has belonged Guri Pålsdatter Tofte (1723 - 1795). She married with Jakob Iversen Kvarberg (1716 - 1788) in Vågå in 1749. SS-02582 and SS-02582.
