Norway is a small country and has never played a decisive political role in European historiy. This exhibithion reflects that fact. It portrays the everyday lives of the people who have inhabited our country over the millenia. It is an important history.
The exhibition follows the nameless people who settled here on the edge of the glacier, waches them grow in number and shows how they placed increasing demands on nature ocer the centyries. It congludes in our time of great material welth and environmental problems.
